Some outfit called The Penny Stock Hunter (out of a P.O. box in Florida with no website identified) sent me a glossy teaser for Sunpeaks Ventures (SNPK), some kind of specialty drug distributor. Oh yeah, here it comes again.
The management team has a limited background in pharmaceuticals; the principals have spent a lot of time in several other sectors, including finance and professional staffing. Folks, when I look at young companies, I have to see a management team that's spent its entire working life in the sector in question.
The financial results are not surprising. Sunpeaks has earned negative net income since 2010 and had retained earnings of negative $244,000 at the end of 2011.
Their most recent press releases announce a defamation lawsuit, a couple of small local marketing efforts, and a reference to their corporate news link. I've never seen a company make an announcement of where to find its announcements, as if that were earth-shattering news. The most relevant news anybody could read about this company is from The Street Sweeper at Seeking Alpha. I don't think I can add anything to such an exhaustive discussion.
